Baths Pools Lisbon
The building is deliberately balanced over the river, and when diving into its large outdoor pool, we are heading towards the Tagus. The tripartite programme of baths, swimming pools and gyms is aimed at creating public social moments, with the users meeting and mixing; as well as moments for individuality, introspection and quiet reflection on our relationship with water, the landscape and ourselves. The building is raised, with the ground floor opening up into commercial spaces, cafes, restaurants, bars and shops. The transparent tanks of the sports pool immediately invite passers-by to dive in.
